Sea Life

My love of all things water led to the creatures who live underwater.  And my printmaking processes expanded to include collagraph, diffused relief and monosilkscreen.

My newest body of work is titled"Dangers Ahead" Sea life is affected by climate change which is attributed largely to the increased level of atmospheric carbon dioxide produced by our use of fossil fuels.  But we affect sea life in many other ways.  Trawling, coral mining, gill nets, pesticide contamination, overfishing and many other human-created threats are endangering the very creatures that sustain us.  The beauty of the undersea world could be damaged irreparably by our actions if we don’t change our ways.  Dangers Ahead focuses on a view of what’s at stake.
